We are excited to announce that Casting Off the Cold has a new group based in Oshawa, covering the areas of Oshawa, Whitby, Courtice and Bowmanville. We know that there are people in need throughout the Greater Toronto Area and we're very happy to be able to support organizations in this area as well as in York Region.
Please welcome Allison to the Casting Off the Cold family. She will be the contact for meetings and donations for this group. She already has a number of local organizations where Casting Off the Cold will be donating in the GTA east area, and will also be sending items to Markham that will go to the Hospital for Sick Children. If anyone is interested in knitting or crocheting for this new group, or if you have materials to donate, please contact her at alli289@hotmail.com.
Allison will be updating the blog and our Facebook page with more information on meetings, donations and the organizations the group will support.
