HOT SUMMER MEETING

To all you crafters out there, I am sure with this hot summer weather you are having a hard time whipping up those beautiful stuff you were able to make for a good cause. So what ever you can do will be a great help to us for the cold winters we have, to donate as much as we have always done in the past. All we ask is for you to send one item to add to our collection, it will be greatly appreciated.

Here are three beautiful blankets from Kim,

A frothy wave blanket crocheted by me.

And this beautiful granny square blanket by Ulrika,

I love the colour of this scarf and it is very soft.

Ulrika has made a few shopping bags for our fund raiser and she is hoping to make a few more so we can raise money for the organization. She designs her own patterns.

Margaret is showing this gorgeous blanket she crocheted,

and here is another,

also some beautiful hat and scarf sets.
Lovely colours.

Well ladies thank you and keep up the good work and enjoy the rest of the summer.

STOUFFVILLE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

Here we are at the Stouffville Strawberry Festival and I have to say that this was the first time we had great weather, taking part in an out side event. Also I have never seen that many vendors at any of the others festival we attended and it was well organized.

Any way this was the last festival for us, we will continue with our raffles which we do very well with. Right now the next raffle is a beautiful Tigger baby blanket, crocheted bay one of our members, Pat. We stared the raffle at the Stouffville Festival and will be drawn on August 15th.

Here are a few pictures at the festival.

And as you can see Monica, Sue and Ulrika cooling off under the tent.
Thank you all very much for working on all these beautiful items for this event.

MORE DONATIONS

Here some hat and scarf sets from Bev and her cousin, about fifteen sets in all just for men.
This is great because we don't receive enough of the darker colours, for the street people. So if any one would like to donate hats and scarves and don't mind working with the darker colours, we would appreciate it very much.

Thanks Bev.
