AUGUST GROUP DONATION
I hope every one had a great summer, considering how humid it was. I personally would prefer cooler weather like today, but I still had a wonderful summer.
At our August meeting I was very surprised to received so many items, It's good to know that you still care to do something for those in need, no matter what the weather is.
I could not ask for more, thank you all.
Here are some of the work that was donated.
A crocheted baby blanket by me.
Here is Barb working on a boy's blanket, it is looking great.

A few more blankets from me.

Lots of beautiful hats and blankets from Madge.

I love this one.
And here is Liz working on another blanket. Beautiful colours and very soft.

JUNE 12TH FUNDRAISER AND KNIT IN THE PUBLIC DAY
Casting off The Cold celebrating world wide knit in the public day at the Richmond Hill Village Festival on June 12th. As you can see on the table there are a lot of baby items for sale for the fundraiser, and a kids blanket that we raffled off.
Although the weather was not in any ones favor, rained all day, we were all soaking wet and cold to our bones, we were able to keep up good spirits about every thing.
Liz, Monica, Siobhan and myself were there to support the group, and I cannot thank them enough for being so faithful and taking time off from their families to be there.
We did very well with the raffle, and the WINNER IS JOAN LUND FROM RICHMOND HILL. She was very happy that she won because she has a few grand children. CONGRATULATION JOAN.
Yep, Monica and Siobhan all ready to take the crowd on, no rain yet and every thing looks good.
The crowds came in small pockets so there was time to do some knitting. Monica knitted a baby summer hat from beginning to end, and she said that it was one way to keep her fingers warm.
This is the second time that we have taken part in an outdoor event and it turned out to be a total wash out. I am not sure we will be taking part in events like this again. Hopefully we can find an indoor event that we can participate in. If any one has any suggestions please feel free to email me about it.

Thank you very much ladies for being so supportive and those of you who work so hard getting items done for the fundraiser, many, many thanks again.

GREAT WEATHER AND LOTS OF GREAT STUFF.
As you all know we had some steamy day this spring, and who new we would receive this many items. All I wanted to do was be in my garden. Any way the June members meeting turned out great with lots of colourful items.

These two blankets were crocheted by me, the yellow one is called the tulip blanket.

Granny square blanket by Margaret and some baby hats.

The black and white blanket she really wanted to crochet.

Here Nayana is showing one of the shopping bags she knitted. And lots of other items on the table.

Jane worked on this blanket that she never thought she would finish for the fundraiser, but she did and what a great job she did.

And Pat who knits such beautiful baby clothing.
Here are some baby tops,

and a sweater. Pat also knitted the Eeyore Blanket for the raffle.
